Grand theft auto IV - Official trailer

Geez Louise!! Time has flown by so quickly! I first posted on the countdown to the trailer at the beginning of March and already it's touched down!

The game looks like it's set in GTA's fictionalized New York - Liberty city. At first I thought it was a spoof of the first Spider-Man film as there are a couple of shots that look like they were jacked from the movie, as well as the music.

The trailer isn't all that in my opinion. Cinematics have never Rockstar's strong point, but even by their standards this trailer is pretty whack. I was expecting something with a bit more impact, something humorous and outlandish. Instead we get some seriously toned bullshit and a main character who looks like an asylum seeker. With the wait for the trailer now over, all we have to do is wait for the game. I like GTA, but I'm not a fan by any means. So I'm hardly on the edge of my seat in anticipation for this game.

Nice, very New York, not particularly exciting.

It's definitely Liberty City albeit with a few modifications to the geography and architecture from our last visit.

The trailer as you mentioned is pretty stale, but I was surprised at the voiceover of the main character- hopefully they just don't give him a tedious backstory like in San Andreas...

As much as many loved GTA III, as massive a game as San andreas was and as good as the graphics look in GTA IV - I still love Vice city. That was the first GTA game I ever bought and actually liked.

Couldn't agree more J, Vice City was indeed the best GTA.
