Fellow hardcore, Wii owning European gamers... It pains me to say that Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been delayed in Europe. It won't be releasing here until the third quarter of 2008, sometime after June. Now, I was in support of the delay back when the North American release date got pushed back, but that's because I had no idea that the European date would get pushed so far back. This is a piss take. Plain and simple. If North America is able to get a release of the game a month after the Japanese one, then why should European gamers have to wait almost half a year? It's a joke. Only I'm not laughing. Nintendo pretty much just final smashed its European fans. This news has hit me so bad that it makes me want to go and buy a PlayStation 3 (the expensive model), an Xbox 360, the legendary edition of Halo 3 and a Super Platinum Xbox live membership with the gamer tag FuxNintendo just to spite Nintendo.
I'm sick and tired of not only Nintendo, but Japanese developers in general delaying European releases so long after the North American ones. There is no excuse or reason any developer could give me to justify a 5 month gap between the North American release and the European one. I think it's pretty bad that in the space of 20 years that the attitudes of Japanese developers have not changed concerning the release dates of games and consoles in Europe. I should be used to it by now, but I guess I'm not. I love Nintendo, but right now in this very moment they can go f**k themselves safely with a silicon covered Wii remote. They should've pushed the release date back worldwide like they did with Super Mario Galaxy so that everywhere can enjoy the game within no more than a week of one another. You'd think Nintendo would've done this considering the game is online playable. But nope.
I know American and Japanese gamers don't give a shit, but if you're a European gamer like me, please reach out and let me know that you feel my pain.

That's not fair J. Because as an online mate of yours, I care. It really does suck, one of the reasons being we won't be able to play online together...at least not for a while I guess. :(
I almost bust a lung because of that animation. I feel real bad for you guys. That's one more abuse from Nintendo that Europe has taken. When will it end? Do they even care anymore? I feel really bad.I would feel alot worse if Feb 10th was plastered at the back of my mind.
yeah, that sucks. i think it sucks even more that nintendo doesn't even have to provide an explanation...
I must admit...I had a mighty chuckle with that animation!
Even in despair, you find a way to humor the masses! XD
Nintendo don't do explainations Brandon. They just don't.
I can't believe they think it's actually okay to delay this game in Europe and Australia for 6 months. Jokes aside, that really is terrible. It's worse knowing that they could probably release it much sooner, but are choosing (for whatever reason) not to do so. Folk are flapping gums about it being localization related, but localization doesn't take 6 months. Especially not a game like Brawl where most of the text is in menu's. It's hardly Final Fantasy VII. If Nintendo could launch a system, Twilight princess and Super Mario Galaxy within the space of a month and Bungie could do the same for Halo 3, then Nintendo could do it for Brawl. It's that simple.
It really gets my fucking goat! It pisses me off ROYALLY that games developers and companies CONTINUALLY treat European gamers like shit!
We pay 'em the same fucking money, we buy their shit, we support their companies and they fucking dump on us from a great height.
*FK clenches fists menacingly...*
BASTARDS!!!!!!
i cant believe we get it so late im really pissed i want it even more now cause olimar and pkmin r in it i wantd them so much
I know how you feel. I'm in Europe too, and I've been waiting for ages too. Amazon.co.uk should have had it on the 30th of April, but no, they moved it to the 1st of June.
I now im a European player myself and i got to tell you i just can't stand it anymore. This is total crap. Shitty thing just is that there is nothing I or anyone else can do to change it and it probably isn't going to change in quite a while (though if someone would start a petition i would totally be in it)
